FUNDAMENTALS

Starting something new can be scary! At Hudson River Athletics, your fitness journey is our first priority and we take every aspect of it seriously. We want to make sure that you are set up to succeed, and we will do everything we can to help you. 

Your first step at the Riv is Fundamentals, our on-ramp program for beginners looking to get started in our Functional Fitness program. In Fundamentals, you will be introduced to the basic movements and learn how to perform them safely in a highly personalized, one-on-one setting. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of our comprehensive training philosophy and be fully prepared to take on the regular Functional Fitness group classes when you graduate.

HUDSON RIVER Athletics REHAB

 Is chronic pain or an old injury keeping you from enjoying your workouts or progressing as an athlete? Do you skip days with snatching or deadlifting entirely because you always get hurt, even at lighter weights? Do you think you’re “too old” to do certain movements and that it’s normal to wake up with pain every day? Have doctors told you “you need to stop exercising” after just a quick conversation and without thorough physical evaluation?

At Hudson River Athletics, we believe everyone is entitled to a healthy, happy life and we KNOW that working out shouldn’t lead to chronic pain. Group fitness, like what we do here, certainly helps with longevity, but only if you’re mindful of your personal limitations. HRxA offers tests and tools to determine if there are areas that need more attention and tailored programming to work on those areas without having to stop your fitness routine.
